Inflammation is in turn an outcome of many factors associated to renal dysfunctions like immune dysfunction which could act as a catalyst of many other CKD risk factors. Moreover, inflammation seems to be a logical target for preventive and remedial – general and particular anti-inflammatory interventions – in patients with CKD.
